You can find our address and a map on our contact page here.
  • I'd love to learn a craft that isn't currently offered at Green Door Learning, can I request it?
If you'd like to learn a craft that we don't currently offer, please get in touch here and we'll do our best to accommodate you or find a tutor.
  • I'm a tutor interested in hosting a class at Green Door Learning, how do I rent the space?
At Green Door Learning, we love fresh ideas and creativity, so welcome new tutors to the team. If you're interested in teaching a course, please get in touch here to find out renting a space for your classes.
  • Do I need sewing experience ?
No not at all. Enthusiasm for the subject is the key ingredient, so just bring yourself! We're here to help you with the rest.
  • What can I make ?
Curtains, blinds, cushions...the possibilities are endless! There's so many soft-furnishing products out there, and there's very little we don't have experience with at Green Door Learning. You can find inspiration on Pinterest.com, magazines, or simply ask one of the team for ideas to get you started.
  • Does everyone make the same thing during a class?
No, you can make whatever you like, and this doesn't need to be the same as other people in the same class. Your teacher will attend to each student's individual needs during each class.
  • What do I have to bring to the first class?
If you have the fabric for your chosen project bring it along with your measurements and ideally some photos of what you would like to make, so we can go through it with you. Don’t worry if you don’t know which fabric to buy, or how much, just bring a reference, and we can help you work out a suitable material, and how much of it you'll need.
  • What equipment will I need to bring?
Bring basic sewing essentials including scissors, a tape measure, a needle and thread and if you have one, a sewing machine too. We always keep equipment at the studio to lend out during classes if you forget something!
  • How long are the courses?
Courses are between 10 and 12 weeks long. Sometimes we extend the longevity if enough class members are in favour.
  • How can I get further information regarding classes and enrolment?
Just give us a call! You can find contact details here.
  • Is equipment shared? What precautions are taken to sanitise shared equipment?
Yes equipment is shared, but you're welcome to bring your own if this makes you feel more comfortable. All equipment is wiped down using antibacterial spray.
  • Is there hand sanitiser in the classroom?
Yes, we have a hand sanitiser available at the studio.
  • What is your policy on masks during classes?
The wearing of masks is discretionary, but please do let me know if you are high-risk and I will do my best to accommodate your needs.
